Overview

We have a longstanding, recognised and proven UK Betting and Gaming practice that deals with a variety of online and ‘bricks and mortar’ gambling activities and operations. In addition, we also have experience of co-ordinating and seeking advice in a number of other jurisdictions, particularly in relation to online gambling activities.

We have obtained a number of casino licences and other gambling licences such as betting licences and this includes both any operating licence required from the main regulator or any premises licence required to operate specific premises. We also act for and advise those who supply services to the gambling sector, including where they supply services may themselves be regulated and require a licence.

The team also provides advice in relation to skill games, lotteries and price promotions where such activities may be caught by the gambling regime. We also have experience of advising in relation to a variety of advertising issues which arise in this context and the manner in which claims may or may not be made.

We also have deep industry knowledge and advise those operating within the gambling sector in relation to a range of associated issues such as payment processing, tax or competition issues.

Our experience extends to dealing with enforcement investigations and prosecutions.
